Beautifully written, Freya, I loved this glimpse into your life. This piece has... for the first time in my life... made me crave colder weather. Would love to have some tea and layer up next to the fireplace. It's still super hot where I am. I'm ready for fall!
I read "I Who Have Never Known Men" very recently. I would definitely recommend you read it, but know that though it's short it's pretty heavy. It pulled me straight out of a reading slump, I was so captivated by that story. I wish I could forget it and read it again. Such beautiful prose, such an interesting story. But so sad. Better to go in knowing little, I think. But just be ready to cry lol! Would love to discuss with you once you've read it, my friend and I always talk about how badly we wish we could discuss this book with more people. It's so darn interesting.
fully agree. easily one of my favourite books ever once i started it was hard to put it back down. definitely the kind of story that lingers in your thoughts.
this was such a delightful read 😍 makes me want to start planning my autumn now but unfortunately i never get to witness it the leaves changing colors - it’s only the rain that signals the transition from summer to winter from where i am studying 😭 but ohhh this was lovely! Bridget is such a quirky character to relate tooo (even tho i expected Arsy Darcy to be more cute no hate tho don’t we all get a bit disappointed when the movie character doesn’t meet our novel chaarcter’s expectations?)
this made me so incredibly happy! the “frazzled english teacher” is the perfect description of the values i’m going to try to embody this autumn — giving the perfect imperfections of life & love more appreciation and just savoring the beauty of this season :) thank you for this!!! can’t wait to read more of your work :)
thank you so much for mentioning the x files. i just re-started it myself and i just looooove the vibes (even though season 1 isn't that good let's face it).

This was quite comprehensive, Freya!
I must urge every one here to listen to your playlist; it has all the goods, Joni Mitchell, Nick Cave, Fleetwood Mac...
Seems like you're well-prepared for the more somber of seasons!

How many times have you re-watched Gilmore girls? I am just curious, how many is too many 😁 or would it ever be too many
